Jirachi is a level 5 Mythical Raid boss in Pokémon GO, with 37733 Raid Boss CP and a Steel / Psychic typing. Jirachi counters are similar to Metagross counters and revolve around strong Fire types with high DPS.
Jirachi’s raid max capture combat power is as follows:
- 1766 CP – no weather boost, lvl 20, 100% IV
- 2207 CP – Windy or Snow weather, lvl 25, 100% IV
In this guide, you will learn which counters are best suited against the Mythical Pokémon, Jirachi. If you prepare well, Jirachi should be one of the easiest Mythical raid bosses you could possibly do. You will need a raid group of at least 4 players to take down Jirachi.

Jirachi, being a Steel / Psychic type Pokémon, has a heavy weakness to Fire types which is good for those who have been able to accumulate a team of Flareons, however, if you don’t, the DPS (Damage per second) difference between these counters is not that big, so as long as you have a high CP team composed of any of the Pokémon you see above, you should be on fire with any Jirachi raid.
Jirachi has access to the following moves:
- Confusion Psychic (Fast)
- Charge Beam Electric (Fast)
- Dazzling Gleam Fairy (Charged, 2 bars)
- Psychic Psychic (Charged, 1 bar)
- Doom Desire Steel (Charged, 2 bars)
Weather influence
Best weather to raid: Snow / Windy
With this information in mind, we can now take a better look at the effects of weather on Jirachi and how raiding works with it. Like we can see, if you are looking for a weather boosted Jirachi, you will have to raid it during snowy or windy weather. If you are more interested in having a type advantage against Jirachi, it is recommended to raid during Sunny/Clear weather using your Fire type attackers.
Even though this is the case, considering how easy a Jirachi raid would be in comparison to other Legendaries, as long as you have reasonable counters, it should be best to wait until snowy or windy weather to take advantage and catch a weather boosted Jirachi.
