Shiny Pokemon are one of the most coveted (and most controversial) topics in Pokémon GO. Niantic is now seemingly releasing one new shiny variant of a Pokémon (or family) at the a one specie per event rate. This article lists all Shiny Pokémon currently available in Pokémon GO and how to obtain them.
You cannot tell from the map screen whether a Pokémon is shiny or not. It’s only when you enter the encounter screen that you can see the colour variation and the ‘sparkles’ that emanate only from shinies. Search “shiny” in Pokémon storage to display all shiny Pokémon you’ve caught.
